Course Summary
Lock Out/TAG Out (LOTO)
This 3-hour course covers the essential safety procedures for Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) to prevent accidental machine start-up or release of hazardous energy during maintenance. Participants will learn how to properly isolate energy sources, apply locks and tags, and ensure safe work practices in the workplace.





Course Contents
Understanding LOTO regulations and standards
Identifying hazardous energy sources
Correct procedures for locking and tagging equipment
Responsibilities of employees and employers
Emergency procedures and safety practices

Assessment
Assessment is on-going by the instructor, culminating with a multiple choice question paper.
Duration
The course requires a minimum of 3 hours, distributed over the day.Â

Certification Validity
This qualification has no formal expiry, however regular CPD and updates are recommended.



Further Information - Course Numbers
A maximum of 12 students are allowed and must be a minimum of 16 years of age and a certificate can be offered to all, subject to assessment.
