Catastrophic Bleeding Control Course CPD: 3-hour
This course provides learners with guidance on catastrophic bleeding control, including dealing with the inherent dangers associated with the use of tourniquets and haemostatic dressings whilst administering First Aid in a high-risk working environment.
All learners must hold an in date Level 3 Emergency First Aid or Level 3 First Aid at Work qualification.

Certification
Although there is no formal assessment, the trainer will assess each individual ongoing throughout the course and issue a certificate of attendance. There is no expiry date on the certificate as it is attendance only, however, we recommend that you attend this course every 3 years to refresh your skills.
Duration
A minimum of three contact hours in the classroom, consisting of practical and theoretical activities, plus some pre-course activity could be required. Ideally, the course should be run over one day.
